Introduction to Library Services

The library service for Gloucestershire Academy is available for use by all NHS staff working in Gloucestershire or students on placement in Gloucestershire. To join, please come to one of the libraries with your NHS or University ID.

What we can do for you

Help you to search for good quality articles and show you how to access them on the Internet
Obtain books and journal articles unavailable in our libraries from other libraries in the region
Teach you how to compare different treatment or therapies

Opening times

The library services in the county are hosted by both Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Partnership NHS Trust. The services provided by the Partnership Trust are also for those who work in the community and in primary care although anyone working for the NHS in Gloucestershire can use any of the libraries. There are six libraries in the county, open at the following times:

Cheltenham General Hospital	Monday - Thursday: 8.30am - 5pm Friday: 8.30am - 4pm 24 hour access by arrangement
Sanger House	Monday: 8.30am - 4pm
Dilke Memorial Hospital	Tuesday: 9am - 3pm
Gloucestershire Royal Hospital	Monday - Thursday: 8.00am - 6pm Friday: 8.30am - 4pm
Stroud General Hospital	Thursday: 8.30am - 3pm
Wotton Lawn	Monday - Friday: 8.30am - 4pm
